“I enjoy connecting with patients of all ages and being present for key life moments, from celebrating new births to supporting families in difficult end-of-life decisions. I have an interest in obstetrics, women’s health, and gynecologic procedures. I was drawn to this specialty as I have had the privilege of providing prenatal care to pregnant mothers, delivering babies and, then, continuing their care for years to come.”
Andrew Dunn, DO
Family Medicine, ThedaCare Physicians-Neenah
“Working within a team to provide individualized advice and guidance, I help empower patients to take an active role in their health decisions. I have a special interest in treating men’s health issues, particularly related to weight management and overall well-being.
“My role is to help navigate the path to achieve a wide range of health goals, always with the patients’ best interests in mind. I see myself as a partner in their health journey and am committed to long-term support.”
Jacob Gorney, MD
Hospitalist, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah
“My approach to health care is to evaluate each patient as a whole and individualize their care based on not only their physical ailments, but also their emotional, social, and economic needs. I believe everyone has the equal right to high-quality medical care regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation/identity, or background. In my internal medicine role, I find satisfaction in the diverse range of cases and the collaboration with a multidisciplinary team from the point of case admission to discharge.”
Joshua Gorney, MD
Hospitalist, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah
“My approach to patient care is to treat patients as if they were my own family members, ensuring they remain well-informed about their treatment plans and fully comprehend their medical conditions and post-hospitalization care. I am committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care without regard to people’s background or socioeconomic status. I find great satisfaction in the opportunity to assist patients and enjoy offering my support during a critical time in their life.”
Sandra Groenewold, MD
Psychiatry, ThedaCare Behavioral Health
“Patients come to me at a difficult, low point in their life and share information they may have never talked about with anyone. I am honored to have the opportunity to listen, validate, and partner with them to create an individualized treatment plan to help them move forward and feel better.
“I take a trauma-informed care approach to providing care to my patients. This helps me see the patient from a holistic perspective and to understand that things may have happened in their lives that shaped their outlook and responses to life. I strive to create a comfortable environment for my patients, so they feel safe sharing their symptoms and story with me.”
Melissa Laughlin Holtz, MSW
